Knit Academy kicks off Monday, June 15th

Hosted by fellow Honeybee and knit educator Vincent Williams of Visuvio’s Crafts, this 8-week experience will take you from picking up your first needles to finishing real projects with confidence.
You’ll start with 9 beginner-friendly lessons, then put those skills into practice during a 5-week KAL with 5 confidence-building patterns.
You'll also have a chance to join Vincent live on July 17th for a 90-minute Zoom Knit Clinic with troubleshooting, guidance, and Q&A.

FAQs About Knit Academy
When do the lessons start?
Knit Academy lessons begin Monday, June 15th and drop every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9am ET through July 3rd.
Do I need any knitting experience?
Not at all! Knit Academy is designed for complete beginners. If you've been wanting to learn for years, this is your moment. If you already have some basics under your belt, the early lessons make a great refresher before the KAL begins.
What supplies do I need to get started?
For the lessons you'll need a US 8 (5mm) 24" circular needle — Chiaogoo and Lykke are top picks — plus approximately 400–420 yards of worsted weight yarn in a few colors and some scrap yarn for swatching. KAL pattern supplies will be shared closer to July.
What is the Knit-Along?
The KAL runs July 6 through August 7 and gives you five patterns to put your new skills to work. Three patterns written by Vincent are free to all Yarn Hive members. Two alternate patterns are available for separate purchase.
What is the Knit Clinic?
The Knit Clinic is a live Zoom session with Vincent on July 17th from 6:00–7:30pm ET. Bring your questions, your works in progress, and anything you're stuck on. Vincent will work through it all in real time.
